McG Family Session

It's sad how quickly life gets away from us.  Time keeps passing and as we get older that time seems shorter. I remember summers as a kid felt like an eternity.  Now a year passes by in the blink of an eye.

This gorgeous mom and I first met when we worked together as teachers at an elementary school.  We began our friendship as I helped her clean up after our school faculty Christmas party.  Random...I know. We started to get to know one another better and realized our husbands would be good friends. It took us forever to finally get them together and then once we did, we might have wished we hadn't.  Those two boys are trouble together.

I was there when they welcomed their first handsome boy. When they found out they were having twins, they made the decision that she would stay home with their now 3 boys. Instead of seeing each other everyday we moved to seeing each other occasionally. I took their twins newborn images and have only seen this wonderful woman one other time since then. That makes me so sad. It doesn't feel like it's been that long, but I guess it has.

What all this means...? Anytime they call for photos, I'm there. It's a chance to see these people I love dearly and their adorable boys. This session was the day after the twins first birthday so both sets of grandparents were available so we took advantage. It was a cloudy day which made my indoor photo plans challenging, but I love how these came out.
