Charming Charleston Brunch Wedding|Mr and Mrs Anderson
The perfect, charming, romantic brunch wedding with mr & mrs anderson
I know I’ve been away too long, but I think you’ll forgive me as a try to blog as many of the gorgeous weddings, engagements, families, and new babies as I possibly can in the next few months from the past year. Let’s start it off with my last wedding of the 2019 year.
Most of the time, my couples and I have spent approximately 5+ hours together before the wedding day. We’ve sat and had coffee or wine, we’ve had their engagement session, we’ve had a private reveal appointment, and we’ve met one last time to finalize all the last details before their big day. It’s how I like to invest my time and energy in my couples and its WHY I only do an exclusive amount of weddings a year.
This couple was unique and special. You see, Charleston was a destination wedding for them. They were traveling from Tennessee for this important day because they had fallen in love with the charm and romance that Charleston offers. In some ways this made it a little more difficult for me; like when I walked in morning of and asked one of the bridesmaids how she was feeling thinking she was the bride. We all had a good laugh about that. But it was also so refreshing and wonderful. They very easily communicated what they envisioned for their big day and then they stepped back and trusted me to create it.
It helped that they had chosen a beautiful backdrop in the Riverhouse at Lowndes Grove. The intimate River House at Lowndes Grove is nestled between centuries-old live oak trees and the Ashley River waterfront in downtown Charleston - but it feels miles away from everything. It was quiet and serene that day and the rain held off until just before they were ready to leave. They had also chosen some of the most amazing vendors to help them pull off their vision. Erica Peper with Peper Events, was busily prepping and arranging but all with the most calm and in charge energy. Elaine arrived, with Fresh Weddings & Events, arrived and handed me the most beautiful bouquets. She had even brought extra blooms just for me to use in detail and styling photos. That thoughtfulness to details did not go unnoticed by me. I didn’t have to sneak blooms (ssshhhh). Both of those girls names may sound familiar because they were part of my wedding vendor features. You can find Erica’s here and Elaine’s here.
The table set-up was gasp worthy. With thoughtful touches of macaroon’s from Swank and caligraphed name plates. The bride’s aunt had hand painted a tree that was used as the guest book. All of this was set while beautiful music played quietly in the background provided by Palmetto Strings. I could go on and on, but I’ll just list the vendors below.
I’m so grateful that these two lovebirds would trust me with capturing one of the most important days in their lives from so far away. I can’t wait to send them their wedding album. Congratulations, you two.
