What is a Reveal Party?

Last week I told you a little bit about how Olive & Ivory Photography is a full-service, high-end, boutique photography business here to serve our clients from booking to heirloom quality product delivery. I mentioned "reveal parties" and told you I would be returning to this topic. It's a new concept and one I am very excited about. 

I'm an instant gratification person. When I place an order on-line, I hate the long wait to receive it. I have been known to check on the tracking number more than once in a day. I'll own it. With my move to hosting reveal parties, I help other instant gratification junkies like myself. When you book your session, we will already have a date and time chosen to get back together for your reveal. This will be about 10-14 days after your session and will be when your gallery is ready!

I'll give more details about the party and walk you through what one may look like, but first--let me share with you what one client said about her reveal.

A few days after the shoot Jenn came to my house and we went over the photos together. No emailed link or drop box to view photos.  That can be so overwhelming!  Jenn printed out all of the photos so I could see them in person and not on a screen.  We made piles of yes/no/maybes.  This helped so much in the selection process of narrowing down my favorites.  She then went over the pricing in detail and had mock ups of sizes so I could envision my photos in those particular sizes. It all felt so personalized and showed how much she cares about her work and her clients.        -Brook P.

At your session reveal party, I will show you a gallery of your images for you to enjoy and savor. Next, I will give you the opportunity to look through the photos and begin sorting them into yes/no/maybe piles. I'm there to interject when you need me about what photos will best fit your purpose. I know what you want to do with your photos from the consultations, phone conversations, emails, and texts we will have shared. I'll know if you are looking for a holiday card, we need to have one good shot for the card. If you want an album, a good mix of images to tell the story. We will finish by taking a look at my product samples. You will have an opportunity to hold, touch, and imagine your images on and in these fine art products.

The Display Album

The display album is incredibly beautiful. My favorite thing about it is the display box. The display album portrays a class of elegance. The reveal box comes in two sizes, 8x10 or 11x14. Reveal boxes start at $500.

The Portfolio
