Alexa and Travis| Carmella's Downtown Engagement

As Alexa and I started discussing their engagement session, I thought I might finally have the couple I had been waiting for. Since Carmella's Dessert Bar opened on East Bay Street, I have been dying to photograph someone in there. I suggested it as a location and she immediately got excited. "That's where we had one of our first dates! We'd love to do that!"

Alexa had her make-up done for the morning by the talented Jami of Make up by Jami. They chatted about wedding planning and were fast friends. I had previously been in contact with Brian at Carmella's to work out a good time and day to stop by. Alexa was breath-takingly beautiful and Travis was the perfect strong and handsome beau. As we approached Carmella's, I quickly went over my rules: have fun and love. Neither rule was hard for them. Travis was definitely the class clown as a child. The entire time he kept Alexa giggling and laughing.

These two just radiate love and happiness. They enjoyed a few sweet treats before we decided to wander around the hidden streets of downtown Charleston. Towards the end of our session, I had them dance in the middle of the street which Travis informed me they could not do well since they were "good baptists". However, they pulled it off perfectly.

As I was taking these, I knew we were creating magic. A few days later, I submitted them to an on-line publication and am excited to announce that they will be published in July of 2018 at The Overwhelmed Bride!!!!!! But without further ado...
