Welcome Baby Elliott| Charleston In Home Newborn Session
An In Home Newborn Session
This session feature is late. It’s embarrassingly late. This little babe is at least 4 months now, but I think I’m underestimating. Sharing this in home session has been on my to-do list for months. The images of Elliott and her daddy are some of my all-time favorites. I’ve had the honor of photographing some amazing dads this year.
Elliott was welcomed home by her adoring and adorable older brother. At the session, he was just the right mix of proud brother and silly toddler. One of the lucky things about me doing complimentary in-home consultations before a session is that it had already given him some time to get use to me. It also afforded me that time to see some of the wall spaces that mom was wanting to decorate with new images of her family.
We already had some ideas in mind as we went into her in home session. She knew she wanted some wall art and an album. Originally she thought she wanted to update a large wall over her couch with a few small framed images, but once she saw her gallery she fell too much in love with one of the family images on the bed. We found a transitional wall in the living space of their beautiful home that would perfectly welcome a canvas wrap.
Baby Elliott was a great baby (if there is such a thing as a not great baby). She slept almost the entire time I was there. She slept through diaper changes and caregiver transitions. Of course the only time she decided she was ready to wake up was once we decided to try some black and white images. I was able to snap a few before she decided her modeling day was complete. Us grown ups may think we are the head of our household, but it’s the new baby all the way.
Congratulations to this family…even if I’m 6 months late.
