Introducing Charleston Wedding Planner: Cayleigh Hopkins with The Petal Report
I don't want to sound redundant after last week, but this girl is amazing. When Cayleigh, with The Petal Report, told me about her idea for her feature I may have silently jumped up and down. She had me at ice cream (who can so no to Jeni's ice cream?!). Cayleigh is like walking bubble gum. She's sweet, cheerful, and so sweet. You will almost always find her in bright colors and high energy. Every interaction with her has been picture perfect organization and fun professionalism (that's an oxymoron but I promise it's real).
Cayleigh got her start at USC (and the Gamecock fans go wild) in Sport & Entertainment management. She was hooked with her first interaction with a wedding when she was interning. She's been in the industry for eight years giving her an extensive background that includes managing part of the Olympic Village in the London Olympics. Next she went to California where she worked designing and implementing pop-up parties that were to die for.
Cayleigh thrives off of designing weddings from start to finish. She focuses on getting to know her couples and then creates a design board for their wedding that pulls in all sorts of personal touches. One of her favorite couples to date were big foodies so for their wedding...food trucks. She wouldn't give specifics but said there are some super fun couples coming up this year.
"I love getting to know my couples and to design a wedding that is full custom to them. Learning what they like, how they interact and what they enjoy doing together, I am able to create a wedding that fits not only their personalities but their love for each other." -Cayleigh
It's hard to get on Cayleigh's calendar because she's such a busy gal, BUT when she's not working she takes time for painting, sipping wine, and nibbling at some of her favorite restaurants. She's a frequenter of Coast, Paw Paw, and The Obstinate Daughter. She recommends that everyone that visits Charleston enjoy a glass of wine on the Palmetto Breeze.
I had such a blast eating ice cream with this gal. She's bubbly and energetic and her soul is fed by meeting and connecting with others. She's a doll and I can't wait to see what fabulous weddings she's got planned this year.
