Farmer's Market Charleston Engagement
I have been anxiously awaiting a couple that would agree to do a Farmer's Market Session. It was what I wanted for an engagement/maternity session for myself and never got. Enter Kate and Chad. They (she) agreed it sounded fun!
I was lucky enough to be introduced to Kate through the most amazing hair stylist in the Lowcounty, (Lindsey at Strawberry Blonde Salon). When I first met Kate and Chad for a coffee at Kudu to start discussing their wedding photography needs, I knew right away...these are my people.
Chad is this extremely tall Citadel grad and Kate, although she's from the midwest, gives off this beachy and fun loving vibe. We met early in the morning to beat the heat and crowds at the Marion Square Farmer's Market. We walked around and I tortured them by making them do silly things right in the middle of the walkway. Haha! Anything for a cute portrait.
After we had wandered around for a while, we left the market and ventured into the neighborhoods surrounding it. We stumbled upon some fun brick walls and had fun chatting and hanging out. We were given a little extra time to hang out when we got to the car and realized that I had locked all of our things in my husbands car. Oops! They were good sport and didn't complain once.
On Cinco de Mayo, I popped over to their home to show them their engagement portraits. They were preparing for a Cinco de Mayo party later in the day. We took a look at some wall spaces that we are considering for a mix of wedding portraits and engagement. They settled on a beautiful 8x8 linen album to be a keepsake of their favorite engagement portraits. They plan to have it out at their wedding...WHICH IS TOMORROW! I can't wait to celebrate these two and have fun partying...even if I am "working".
Congratulations you two! xoxo
