Sunset on the Beach with Charleston Family Beach Photographer
I know it's been a while since I blogged. I have had a heck of a time getting back into a routine since we went on two weeks of vacation. What I really mean is, I've been putting more time into the family, spouse, self sector of my life and less on the business. If someone has found how to have work and life balance...PLEASE fill a girl in. Mine is like a pendulum or see saw. I have moments of balance and then slide too far one way.
If there is one mama that may be able to give me some advice it would be this one. Kasi is a work from home mom (like myself) with two adorable kiddos that are close to my own children ages AND a handsome and supportive hubby. We are practically twins. It was actually Nathan that originally contacted me at the beginning of the summer about doing family portraits while they were visiting from out of state. The first time I spoke to Kasi on the phone, I knew I had found a true compadre. I think we talked well beyond they gathering information stage and into the "ok one of my kids is going to burn the house down if I don't get off the phone" stage.
In that phone call, Kasi mentioned that she really wanted to get at least one large wall portrait for the home. She sent me several pictures of wall she was considering in their very gorgeous home. We planned out where and when and how we would have their session and then waited. We couldn't have asked for a better evening for their session. The kids were playful but in good spirits. Two days later, as they were on their way to head home, they stopped by my house to see their images.
I'm not going to lie when I tell you that Kasi needed a box of tissues. That momma cried when she saw the gallery. Next came the hard task of choosing the favorite images that would printed and the main one that would go in the wall portrait. With my guidance we were able to accomplish the impossible. Kasi and Nathan selected to go with a framed canvas. Six weeks later it arrived at their door. Kasi sent me pictures of it hanging on their wall and I'm not going to lie, it completed me. Seeing that adorable family, that beautiful moment they can't ever repeat, framed and hanging on their wall that I was a part of---wow!
